The agricultural enterprise KSG Agro plans to increase the capacity of the workshop for the production of fuel pellets in the village of Novopokrovka, Dnipropetrovsk region. tons per year, company representatives said.

Work is currently underway to modernize the workshop, which will be completed by the beginning of the heating season 2019/20.

Compared to natural gas, the use of pellets is at least twice as economical. This area is very cost-effective for the company, since plant waste is not disposed of but spent on the manufacture of fuel pellets, said Sergey Kasyanov, head of the KSG Agro board of directors. Mostly sunflower is used in production, said Sergey Kasyanov.

Agroholding boiler houses operate on biofuel. Own production of pellets fully covers the company's need for fuel.

Earlier it was reported that in the immediate plans of the company - an increase in the number of sows up to 9 thousand heads and the construction of a new breeding mother for 714 animals. 11 million UAH have already been invested in the arrangement of the mother liquor. Its opening is scheduled for early fall of this year.
