The Phytosanitary Safety Directorate of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Kirovograd Region reports that from April 22 this year, the winter wheat crops were settled in wintering bugs under the name harmful pest.
May 6 marked the beginning of the laying of the pest. As of May 08, during monitoring of winter crops, state phytosanitary inspectors of the Kirovograd region found a bug with an average number of 0.6 specimens per 1 m² (maximum 2), which damaged an average of 4% of plants (maximum 5%).
It has been established that 46% of all surveyed areas are populated by the pest. If there is an EPO (economic threshold of severity) of the bug in the amount of 2-4 specimens per 1 m² or more in the exit phase, the protective treatment with preparations recommended by the “List of pesticides and agrochemicals approved for use in Ukraine” should be carried out.For your information, the bug bug is a harmful bug that causes significant damage to agriculture.
