Representatives of agricultural organizations of the Chelyabinsk region successfully completed the campaign for spring sowing of land.
It is known that more than one and a half million hectares of agricultural land were planted with spring plants in the region this year.
The farmers of the region managed to finish sowing in a predetermined time frame, which was facilitated by the availability of high-tech special equipment. It is noteworthy that technical equipment for Chelyabinsk farmers was purchased with financial support from the government of the Russian Federation.
Based on the data shared by representatives of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region, crops and leguminous plants are located on territories with a total area of one million three hundred seventy-six thousand hectares.
It is noteworthy that in 2019, the authorities of the region decided to increase the area for grain, as the need for feed increased in the region. In particular, pig farms are interested in large quantities of barley, given that the number of pigs in the Chelyabinsk region today is at least nine hundred thousand individuals.
It will not be amiss to note that today wheat fields occupy more than eight hundred and forty thousand hectares of Chelyabinsk land. Oats are located on eighty-one hectares.
In addition, the farmers of the region, starting from the development of the seed market, increase the area of land on which milk thistle, safflower and safflower are atypical for this area.
Also in the expanses of the Chelyabinsk region, you can find fields with chickpeas, buckwheat, millet, corn, as well as chickpeas (lamb or Turkish peas) and lupins.
