To date, agrarians of the Lipetsk region have managed to harvest grain in the amount of one million one hundred thousand tons.

The good news about overcoming the millionth milestone was made public by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

Also, the department hastened to please with information that this year the harvesting campaign on the Lipetsk fields is much more active and more productive than a year earlier.

The lead time is obvious: in 2018, only five percent of all grain fields were threshed at the reporting date and about one hundred and fifty-four thousand tons were threshed against the current million. At the moment, farmers in the region by common efforts managed to thresh more than thirty-five percent of all grain land.

It will not be superfluous to note that this year the total area of ​​the territories allocated by the Lipetsk authorities for grain cultivation exceeds by thirty thousand hectares the figures for the past year. And today, local farmers cultivate a total of seven hundred thirty thousand hectares of grain.

It is important to note the average yield in fields with grain at this time. It is about forty-three centners per hectare. For clarity, we note that a year earlier, the indicator almost did not reach forty-three centners from each hectare.
