The new John Deere 9000 Series High Performance Self-Propelled Forage Harvester with HarvestLab 3-way pickup for use on the forager, clamp or slurry tank will debut at the Royal Highland Show, Scotland's largest annual agricultural exhibition.
The combine harvester will be presented at the exhibition along with the advanced technology of the S-Series automated combine harvester and the latest precision farming solutions developed by Farm Management Solutions.
The latest HarvestLab 3000 near infrared system is equipped with AutoLOC cutting length auto-tuning and silage dosing on the go based on dry matter content. The same sensor can also be used in stationary mode to analyze silage with a clamp, to more accurately control feed rations and to analyze components in manure (for example, N, NH 4, P & K) when working with a manure tank.
There are four models in the series ranging in power from 625 to 970 hp, with the flagship 9900 equipped with the new 24.2-liter V12 Liebherr engine with striking dual exhausts. John Deere has also expanded its core processor lineup with the introduction of the XStream KP for the 9000 Series, which increases processing by 10% at all cutting lengths.
The core processor can be removed in just five minutes for a quick change of corn and grass. The 9000 Series is also available with a complete range of John Deere AMS precision farming systems to enhance operator comfort, productivity and cutting quality.
Advanced technology features include AutoTrac automatic steering, a RowSense pusher that allows the forager to automatically track rows of corn, Active Fill Control to automatically fill the trailer, and the MyJohnDeere Operations Center web portal, which can be used to manage your fleet and display detailed data from accuracy to the machine and data collection.
