On March 7 this year, near the village of Limanskoye, local hunters discovered a lot of dead bodies of partridges, rooks, pheasants, crows, leggy and common buzzards. Later information showed that animals, foxes and domestic dogs that had tasted the poison, had also died.
According to hunters, the fauna of the area could suffer from chemicals treated with grain, which farmers use against rodents. It was such a green grain that was found near dead birds.The police of the Melitopol police department recorded the fact of the mass death of animals and birds. The Kirillov subdivision of the Melitopol police is conducting investigative actions. The veterinary service of the Akimovsky district is simultaneously conducting its own investigation. According to local hunters, such incidents have happened before. They turned to the local authorities with information that the uncontrolled introduction of pesticides can threaten the life of not only the animal world, but also pose a danger to people.
