The other day it became known that the Republic of Crimea was included in the list of regions, in the vastness of which the authorities of the Russian Federation intend to implement the national project "Digital Economy".
Crimean fields will be developed in the field of the Digital Agriculture program. Over the next few years, employees of the State Agricultural Research Institute will carry out all points of the project on the peninsula.
It will not be amiss to note that, according to the head of the research institute Vladimir Pashtetskiy, the university has leased five experimental fields in different parts of the peninsula.
The area of plots varies from fifty to one hundred and twenty hectares. Experts intend to break all these territories with the help of computer technologies into a grid whose cells do not exceed one centimeter in length and width. Through the satellite, the landing process and its results can be monitored from space.
A variety of crops will be grown annually on such experimental fields.
And over the next five years, researchers intend to get a comprehensive picture of the situation in the Crimean fields and will develop a strategy that will help optimize processes in the fields and develop the agricultural industry using digitalization techniques and the implementation of space achievements.
