Circumstances are developing for Bashkiria in such a way that the local Ministry of Agriculture intends to introduce a state of emergency on the territory of the region.
The prerequisites for the establishment of such a regime is the mass death on the republican fields of winter crops. As a result of adverse weather conditions, the death of a significant part of winter crops in the open spaces of ten municipalities of Bashkiria was recorded.
According to information released by the press service of the Bashkir Ministry of Agriculture, 17% of winter fields are at risk. Their total area exceeds 74 thousand hectares. Only four regions of the republic were lucky to keep the fields in good condition on an area of 150 thousand hectares. This is only 35% of the total area of regional crops. Satisfactory can be called 48% of winter fields, the total area of which is approximately 207 thousand hectares. The fault was caused by frosts that formed in the fields at night during the last week.
The beginning of April was warm and promising for Bashkir farmers, however, the last days have led to the fact that the government of the republic is seriously considering the introduction of an emergency regime. According to preliminary data, the damage from weather conditions, which led to the loss of a significant part of the grain harvest, could amount to about six billion rubles.
