New crop potatoes grown in Ukraine at a price of 80 UAH / kg have already arrived at the markets of the Transcarpathian region.
Potatoes from the Carpathian greenhouses are very much appreciated in the region, especially Dobronsky. Dobron potato has a good presentation and excellent taste, but buyers are not in a hurry to purchase it and prefer to wait for a regular drop in prices.
So far, the price of 80 UAH / kg remains inaccessible to most consumers. Local potato prices are expected to decline after Easter. Then there will be a greater choice of product: from small, like hazelnuts, to large, like a man’s fist.In the Transcarpathian market there is also an Egyptian potato harvest 2019, which is sold much cheaper than the local one, but people are in no hurry to buy it. As in Ukraine as a whole, the inhabitants of Transcarpathia are gastronomic local patriots and prefer a domestic product.
Earlier it was reported that the markets of Transcarpathia replenished with locally grown strawberries. And also went on sale greenhouse cucumbers from family Carpathian greenhouses. The selection of berries and vegetables from the greenhouses of the region is growing every day, which means that the products will become cheaper more and more.
