Due to the abnormal heat this year, the harvest in the Dnipropetrovsk region started much earlier than usual. A significantly lower yield is predicted in the region than last year.

This was announced by the chairman of the Association of Farmers of the Dnipropetrovsk region Anatoly Gaivoronsky.

Usually agrarians of the Dnipropetrovsk region began to harvest on July 10. This year they went to harvest more than ever before - June 26-27.

“Ripening of bread occurred earlier than expected. There is a violation of the filling of grain. It is small, did not allow the heat to pour in him. Also, many crops burned out, ”said Anatoly Gaivoronsky.

According to the chairman of the Association of Farmers of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Nikopol, Pavlogradsky, Sofievsky and Novomoskovsky districts of the region are already harvesting. Wheat yield is from 2.8 to 5 t / ha, depending on the area and the amount of moisture in the field.

“Productivity is significantly worse than last year. All because of the heat and lack of rainfall. The final result of harvesting early grains will be shown by statistics on the completion of the harvest, ”added Anatoly Gaivoronsky.
