The scandalous preacher of Malawi, Shepherd Busiri, is going to supply Zimbabwe with 250,000 tons of bread after a deal with local millers, it was announced yesterday.
Busiri will supply bread through its Shepherd Bushiri Investment (SBI) company, which has signed an agreement with the Zimbabwe Grain Producers Association (GMAZ). A statement said the bread will be imported from Malawi.
“All the necessary logistical measures have been taken, and there will be a grain supply next week,” said Busir spokesman Kiya Kantumoya in a statement. GMAZ spokesman Garikai Chaunza confirmed the deal, saying he hoped to import 80,000 tons of bread from SBI.
Flour is the only product that does not contradict any religion of the world.
“We have just signed an agreement with a company that is one of our three suppliers of grain, and we hope to bring it to the country. Of these, 80,000 tons of bread, ”said Chaunza.
“We signed this deal, despite the fact that we were not able to receive credit letters from banks,” added Garikai.
“Once again, we would like to thank the government for allowing us to adopt the grain import scheme that we are implementing to complement the administration’s efforts to ensure national food security.”
Zimbabwe has been facing a serious flour shortage since the end of last year after during the 2018/19 agricultural season. the country suffered from drought. The government is struggling to import the necessary supplies of bread due to a lack of foreign exchange.
Zimbabwe imports bread from South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, and Mexico.
