Producers of bell pepper from the Zaporizhzhya region came together to create a large, uniform batch of high quality, which they then plan to profitably implement. The plantation is located in the village of Terpenye, Melitopol district, Zaporizhia region.
Interestingly, pepper is grown here without the use of chemistry, only organics. Siderates are used, and flowers are planted around the perimeter of the plots to attract beneficial insects - this is how they fight pests.
On the recommendation of UHBDP project specialists, the group is now growing Chinese pepper, and a whole family of bumblebees have been brought up on this site.
Recently, farmers encountered a problem on the field and turned to the Project for advice, asking to invite an agronomist. They thought that a tick had attacked the pepper, and it turned out that the problem was caused by the temperature difference: cold nights and heat during the day.
The agronomist provided recommendations, warned of a lack of potassium and took plant samples to transfer them to the agrolaboratory. A diagnosis will be made in the laboratory and one will know for sure how to treat diseased plants. Soon the specialist will return with results and new tips.
Meanwhile, the group is growing, new members are joining it. Because they understand that it is easier to solve sales problems together.
