Director of BlueBerry, Natalya Pukshin, says that when she bought this site several years ago, it was very neglected. Now, several blueberry varieties are grown on the farm and 30 people have permanent jobs. All employees of the organization are officially registered.
Agronomist Nikolai Kerpanich says that the correct pruning of a blueberry bush is very important for obtaining a high yield. Seasonal pruning is carried out by company employees. But watering and fertilizing are automatic here.From one bush of blueberries on the farm collect 1.5-2 kg of berries. There are many varieties of blueberries on the plantation, but one of the discoveries is the Liberty variety, which has increased resistance to disease. And its berries for a long time retain their presentation and excellent taste, which allows them to be transported over long distances.
The company Natalia Pukshin already has an international quality certificate GlobalGAP, which speaks about food safety. And recently, BlueBerry received a Halal certificate, which opens up the possibility of exporting Transcarpathian berries to Muslim countries.
