Yesterday, October 24, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the issue of subsidies for newly established farms. For each hectare of land relies 3,000 hryvnia (106 dollars), but not more than 60 thousand hryvnias (2122 dollars) per farm.
As for farms that have been operating for a long time, state support is also provided for them. The maximum size is 30 thousand hryvnias (1060 dollars). This budget subsidy will be given to farm members in the amount of 5.5 subsistence minimums per hectare of cultivated land (now the subsistence minimum is 1,777 hryvnias (63 dollars), since December 2018 1853 hryvnias (65 dollars).
The list of farms that can count on state support has expanded. According to the new rules, an economy with a net income from product sales of up to 20 million hryvnias per year (707.5 thousand dollars) can count on financial support. In 2017, up to 15 million a year (530.6 thousand dollars).
Agricultural subsidies will also receive a subsidy. Those who specialize in dairy and meat products should have at least 20 members in their team. For a fruit and vegetable cooperative, as well as those that harvest and process wild berries, mushrooms and plants, it is enough to have 7 members. All cooperatives should have at least one hundred hectares of land under the farm.
The Cabinet also increased the amount of partial compensation for seeds (but only domestic) - from 30 thousand hryvnias (1060 dollars) to 60 thousand hryvnias (2122 dollars) per farm.
A new decree was adopted to reduce the tax burden on farmers.
The government also said that they intend to continue the basic support programs for the agricultural sector. Among them, a compensation program for farmers containing dairy cows, as well as the purchase of domestic agricultural equipment.
