Forget-me-nots have a rod-like root system. The stalk of a straight form grows up to 50 cm in height. The leaves have an oblong shape and are completely covered on both sides with small hairs. The plant usually has blue inflorescences, but in rare cases, white or pink can occur.
In the center of the flower there is a yellow small eye that makes them recognizable.
The fruit of the plant is characterized by the following features:
- breaks up into 4 nuts of a dark shade at the beginning of autumn;

Where and at what time do they meet
Forget-me-not field blooms from May to November. It grows on all continents of the world, but is most common in the USA, the Republic of South Africa, New Zealand, as well as the temperate climatic zone of Asia and Europe.
On the territory of Russia it is found in most gardens. In Germany and France, meadow forget-me-nots are specially planted in spring flower beds. This plant prefers to grow in a humid environment, therefore it is found near marshy meadows, near river banks and in moist forests.
Important! Fertility of the bush reaches 600 seeds. The plant growth phase begins when the air temperature reaches + 4 ° C.
Use in medicine
Forget-me-not field is not included in the State Pharmacopoeia of RussiaTherefore, it is not used in traditional medicine. But this does not prevent the use of flower in folk methods of treatment and homeopathy.
- Forget-me-not field is an effective tool in the fight against the following health problems:

- tuberculosis
- chronic bronchitis;
- severe cough.
It is recommended to use the plant in the form of tinctures, tea or a decoction. You can also make juice or powder from it, which is recommended to be added to hot drinks.
A universal infusion is used against tuberculosis, bronchitis and cough.
To prepare it, follow the instructions:
- Pour 5 tbsp. l dried herbs 300 ml of boiling water.
- Infuse the broth for 2 hours.
- Strain.
- Take the infusion daily for 3 tbsp. twice a day. It is advisable to do this before meals.
Pharmacology
If you use forget-me-not field outside (in the form of a tonic), then this will eliminate the swelling. It is an effective remedy for pregnant women. You can also use the flower in the fight against skin rashes (acne, acne). If you take a tincture of forget-me-nots against eczema, then this will not only relieve itching, but also allow you to get rid of the disease in a few weeks.

Aromatherapy
Forget-me-nots contain potassium-rich oil, so aromatherapy using this plant is intended for those who lack this chemical in the body.
You can also use flower oil for the following diseases:
- asthenia;
- hypotension;
- the effects of paralysis.
Ethnoscience
In Armenia during the Middle Ages, field forget-me-not was used to cure neuropsychiatric diseases. She also helped fight signs of epilepsy. The juice from the flower can be used to rinse the mouth to get rid of inflammation and reduce bleeding gums.
The powder from the flower can be added to water and rinsed the genitals in the fight against diseases of the reproductive system (thrush, candidiasis, etc.). The recipe for its preparation is very simple: first you need to dry the inflorescences. After that, mash them in a blender or mortar. For 100 g of water you need to add 1 tbsp. powder.
Important! The roots of the flower are used to treat eye diseases. In homeopathy, the plant is also used to neutralize snakebites.
Beekeeping Use
Quite often, beekeepers grow field forget-me-nots to increase the amount of honey nectar. Most of the pollen of this plant is in May honey. Most of these flowers grow in the central regions of the country, so beekeeping in these regions is developing better.
