Leading scientific researchers of the Stavropol Territory have completed a long and rigorous development process in the field of so-called “smart” farming and have shown the world another achievement.
This is a unique method of monitoring pastures included in the assets of livestock enterprises. The uniqueness of the system lies in the introduction of advanced digital technologies and telemetry into the process.
Based on achievements from the aerospace industry, Stavropol scientists developed and presented a monitoring program, in which satellite equipment from space, as well as quadrocopters equipped with cameras, will take pictures of the fields and quickly send the received visual information to the monitors of farmers.
This will allow owners of livestock pastures to have the most up-to-date information on the condition of the fields grown on them plants, the degree of yield and possible damage to the land as a result of the invasion of pests.
It is reported that in the very near future the development of Stavropol scientists will become part of a national project on digitizing agricultural processes.
